Yeah right from their web site
http://www.precisionengines.com/pages/contactus.html

You just made my point again......Gary's "favorite shop" does a great job with marketing and answering phone calls, but we all know my (our) experiences with them with the area we really needed them for (building reliable engines with a solid warranty) wasn't really their cup of tea. But the e-mails were great....especially the one that they semt me telling me that they wouldn't warranty the $185,000.00 engine with a whopping 6.6 hours on it, that is now full of metal.

I've said enough here.

Gary

Thanks Bill,

Yeah but since there is no address, we have no idea if this site is the correct people or not.

Ummm...but they do say on their CES "About" page, they are based in Arlington, Washington.
Next step, an online phone directory for the address? Given the nature of aviation, maybe
they're out of town for stints?

Looking through their pics, I see they appear to have had something to do with the Allison which
replaced the Mikulin in the recently restored Mig-3 a coupla' years back. I wonder if any part of their
involvement entailed any travel to Russia back then?

Ennguy, dunno maybe they're the Jessica Biel's of the Warbird world? Too many suitors...so little time?

Gota admit it would be a good way to get some engines, that is if your that kinda person. This whole post is not about if someone is good at doing the overhaul job or not. The question was is the place for real.
"As for Bill Mojo and Cascade, the subject of the original post, I have heard nothing but good things about them, for what that is worth."
How would you ever contact him to do the work?
I would at least have my wife or someone answer the phone if I couldn't or the email. Can't send a snail mail letter there aint no place to send it.

Tim, ebay. That is no good deal. I just got ripped off there nicely, my fault though.
So where is cascade place?
If you ask where is Garys favorite place, here ya go.
Yeah right from their web site
http://www.precisionengines.com/pages/contactus.html

I have worked with Bill many times in the many years that I worked at Chino. I visited him back in Minneapolis in the JRS Shop as well. He was one of the last guys who built R-1820 engines for working aircraft- where they needed it yesterday. Sometimes he just couldn't talk on the phone he was so busy and that was long before the net.
He is a can do guy and is probably turning out a product in as quick a turn time as possible, keeping to a budget and doing it with just a couple guys.
There are several engine shops out there- some even end up doing most of their work for just a couple clients so you might not be able to connect with them.
