A place where restoration project-type threads can go to avoid falling off the main page in the WIX hangar. Feel free to start threads on Restoration projects and/or warbird maintenance here. Named in memoriam for Gary Austin, a good friend of the site and known as RetroAviation here. He will be sorely missed.

EVERY PT owner needs to have a set of those tow plugs installed! Otherwise you're asking to have your gear legs damaged by some well intentioned but unknowing tug driver when he backs your PT into position on the ramp at an airshow or when being put back into the hangar after the flight back home.

Actually, it wouldn't be a bad idea to post some pictures and narrative about the tow lugs. Maybe not in this section of WIX, per say, but I bet there would be folks interested in it. ;-)

That's probably a good idea Gary. Maybe I'll throw something together and put it in the "Parts" section. We just don't want to break any house rules about marketing merchandise on the WIX or whatever... I'll check with the powers that be before I do anything crazy.

Thanks for your support Gary,

Steve
