Friday we got one step closer to the roll out! We were able to install the horizontal stabilizers and one of the fins (again these we'll have to come off again down the road but the horizontals need to be on in order to move her in November, and they look pretty nice back on the fueslage! :) ).

That's so great!
Congratulations to your team.
Be sure and keep us posted as she travels from the hut to the hangar.

The guys opened up one of the rudders yesterday....

...and got a nice surprise.....bird and hornet nests. Fortunately, the residents of the nests were long gone.

Well, the rear turret doors are almost finished. Just have to re-add the hardware, some new gaskets for the windows and paint. I stacked all the pieces together against one of the wingtips to see how they looked. What a lot of work! (but fun)

Unfortunately, no. Issues came up which forced us to put her back in the quonset for the winter. We are now shooting for the spring to permanently move her inside the main hangar.

This may sound like a stupid question...will the Lanc fit in your current hangar when her wings are attached? If not are there plans in place for expansion to house the lancaster?
