I wanted to start a topic where all Goony Bird operators can share information about this great airplane weather it's a parts source, piloting, maint. problems etc. etc.

I will start with any one have a contact for main tires ?

Good Idea

I will support this thread from this end when possible.

Yankee Air Museum is gathering radio equipment for our late C47B. If you have any surplus gear especially racks/mounts, perhaps wew can work a swap.

Anyone have access to radio position photos of the period 1945 - 1955?

I need photos more specific than those found in the Tech Order -1.

I believe Desser Tire is still carrying and recapping. The guys down the taxiway recently sent some B-25 mains out for recap...I'll check where they went.

I think these guys do the recaps for Desser. I know Wilkerson is where Barbie III was sending theirs for capping.

I'm pretty sure Goodyear produced two new sets of tires (mains and tailwheels) for our DC-3 a few months ago. I'll check on it for you.

We are restoring an ex-American Airlines DC-3 in Tulsa, and have acquired some spares for that project. I'll start posting some of the parts we have available for trade if others are interested.
