Sneak Peek at the R-2800-10 B Series for the Sikorsky Memorial Corsair - We could really use some assistance in finding a set of Baffles, 12 push rod tubes, a prop governor and magneto, and a carburetor. Please contact me directly if you would be willing to help us out. We are looking for non airworthy parts.

On August 1st, the CASC had a visit from the Stratford Sister Cities (domestic and international) tour groups which visited Stratford, CT. The Stratfords of the world meet at one of the five different towns with the same namesake across the world every two or three years. A great bunch of people! My father told me that a little ole' woman was walking by him and said: "You know, I didn't understand why were coming here in the first place, Im not interested in any of this. But now that I'm hear and I see all this, I'm having a wonderful time!"

I think that made my dad's day.

Stratford Sister Cities Tour Aug 1st 2014. Over 80 people came by bus to visit the Connecticut Air & Space Center from every Stratford from around the planet! Awesome!!

Rich Jersey, a very active member of the Corsair Restoration Team talks to the people of many different Stratfords about the many challenges and rewards of restoring a WW2 Corsair.

A change is in the air. Seeing school buses parked at the Connecticut Air & Space Center will soon become a regular occurrence as the Curtiss Hangar takes shape at the airport and redevelopment starts at the former Army Engine Plant.

On August 16, the restoration project saw a huge leap with having the Engine installed back onto the airframe. A great job to all involved!
