Hi,

i need help guys ! ( from France :D ) (sorry for my bad English )

few weeks ago, i found many parts of a b17 aircraft. i ve make a lot of research in my little town to identify this plane. but nobody knows the existence of this crash area ...

i need your help to identify this plane with data plates i'm found.

The engine number might be recorded in an MACR.
It's not too clear in the photo: AC 41-57372? 41-57072?

From the 1942 delivery date you are probably looking at a B-17F rather than a G, so that should narrow your search quite a bit.

If this crash site is in Bois des Moinas near Avrechy then the airplane would be B-17F 42-3455 "Lucky Thirteen"
