I am an aircraft mechanic out of SW Washington. I currently have my A and I am working on finishing my P (July). I would love to lend a hand on a WW2 warbird or any military aircraft. I want to volunteer so that I can be around these pieces of history and learn more about them and follow my passion for military aircraft. I would be willing to drive as far north as Centralia WA or as far south as Hillsboro OR to help out. Any information to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I know there is a museum in Hillsboro (Classic Aircraft Museum) that I was also thinking about.

I would look at the B17 Alliance group in Albany If I was down your way. You would get tons of hands on experience as they are just getting started on their restoration.
