Looking for volunteers for repairs and restoration work on display aircraft, got my paper work yesterday to sign up. Helped with aircraft when I was in high school before joining US Army remember B-17 flying in and helping with restoration back military configuration. Also Vulcan, KC-97, C-47 remember all of these flying in. B-24 came in under skyhook from Tulsa Ok and F-84 also under skyhook. Enjoyed my time there then (before displayed in current area they were lined up on east runway and towed to tarmac for airshows then). Anyway interested parties for volunteer work you can contact Ms Amy Russell at 318 456-5553 or just drop by gift shop and ask for volunteer registration. Main concern is B-24 right now needs a lot of TLC will be looking for many parts to repair for static display and lists and requests will be forth coming.
