Hey guys,
I am working on a CAD project and need some clarification on something. Per drawing 106-14300, the front spar is mounted not at 90 degrees in reference to the wing ref line but actually 89deg54min53.3sec and the rear spar is 89deg20min20sec. Does anyone know if this angle is constant or is there a twist in the spar? I need this CAD work to be as accurate as possible so any help is very much appreciated. Earlier models of the Mustang show the same angles so that leads me to believe there wasn't an error on just one drawing.

You will probably need to go up one or two assembly levels to determine if it is constant. Not having the drawings available to look at, I'm working blind, but off of typical industry practices of the times. Move up the assembly drawings to the rib installaton and you may need to check at every location to be sure you don't miss a reference to it. You shouldn't have to go any higher than the skin installation drawings to figure it out. Another place to check is if the drawing set you are working off has the tooling drawings included. I seem to remember that someone had those in the set of drawings they had.
