Hello all,

Here is a newbie from The Netherlands.
My name is Joost, 32 Years of age.

I am working with the Royal Netherlands Airforce at Volkel AB, where I perform heavy maintenance on our F-16's.
Have been in Afghanistan early 2006 in support for ISAF.

When I was on holiday in the UK with my parents almost 20 years ago we went to Duxford Museum in Cambridgeshire UK. Since then I have a growing interest in Historic aviation. Biggest interest goes out to the heavy bombers with B-17 as my personal favourite. Past years I am also trying to locate and visit disused airfields in the UK, espeacialy in East Anglia.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Thomas Brown and I live in Bloomington, Illinois. I am 35 years old and new to the WIX.

When I was younger I just couldn't get airplanes out of my mind. I joined the Civil Air Patrol in High School and had some great experiences. After high school, i joined the U.S. Air Force 1995 - 1999 where I got to hang out with the big boys....C-5, C-141, C-17's. I was a Air Transportation Specialist (fancy name for a cargo pusher, but i loved it.)

Lately, I have been far too busy with work and family that my attention to aviation has sadly been in the rear view mirror for a long time. I recently aimed to change that. I found the WIX and now it's like I'm a kid again.

I look forward to getting back into it and it looks like I found the right place.

Hello! My name is Carolyn and I started flying in high school. I graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Aviation Management in 1998. I was working in the offices of Midwest Airlines until shortly after 9-11. I then decided it was time to take my life in a different direction and so I went back to school and got a degree in social work and I am now a school social worker. However, I can never give up aviation and therefore I am an advisor of an aviation explorer post for youth 14-21 who have an interest in aviation. I also have attended EAA Air Venture for the past 15 years and work on the flight line with the homebuilt aircraft parking. If you have flown into Oshkosh on runway 18/36 I may have marshaled your airplane on the taxiway. That is the thrill of my week. I have seen some incredible airplanes, but my favorite airplane of all time is the P-51 Mustang.

Hello, my name is Chris Davis and I live in southeastern Pennsylvania. I've been out of the loop (warbird-wise) a bit lately, so I hope to get up to speed again. I used to do a fair amount of aviation photography, occasionally wrote articles for EAA Warbirds Magazine and was a warbirds judge at Oshkosh for several years. You might ask why I was out of the loop? Two reasons. First, I bought a house with a large enough mortgage to effectively ground me. Secondly, I got involved with vintage bikes and motorbikes.
The mortgage hasn't gone away, the bikes still vie for my attention, but some new photographic equipment has me chomping at the bit to get out and start photographing my true passion - warbirds- again.

Welcome aboard Chris,

I think you'll find WIX a great way to get caught up in the warbird world.

I look forward to seeing your photos if you plan on posting them on here.

Cheers,

David

greetings,

long time lurker, first time poster as a new member from IA. i'm a 30yr old ag pilot / A&P IA with a (nearly) lifelong interest in warbirds.
My first airshow was in Sioux Falls SD in 1986 for the SD ANG 40th anniversary, I believe the first warbird I ever saw was diamond lil at that show. (i'm only sure it was a b-24)

Greetings everyone! I have watched this site for some time now and find the conversation quite interesting, hence my joining. My name is Andy Heins from Dayton, Ohio. I have been involved with antique airplanes my entire life and am currently the President of the National Waco Club. My wife and I own 4 Wacos, 2 RNF's, an ASO and a YKC-S Cabin. Two of the four are flying. Both of us are pilots and can think of nothing better to do on a warm, sunny day then to fly the Wacos around visiting airfields and friends.

I am a long-time collector of aviation memorabilia and photos and have over 30,000 photos in my collection. I am a huge fan of all warbirds and would someday like to own one. I hope to contribute to this site with anything concerning Waco airplanes as well as posting lots of warbird and antiques photos from my collection.

Hi All
Long time lurker, finally joined up. My name is Chris Sheppard (Holledigger) Longtime history/aviation buff. Can't get enough of old warbirds. Architectural Illustrator by trade, doodle around with Aero Art late into the night! Take pictures of them as well when I get a chance. I'll try not to make too big of a fool of myself with daft questions since it seems most everyone here knows so much more than I do off the top of their heads!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Drew Watson. I grew up flying around with the Western Warbirds in the back seat of my father's Harvard. I have my own Harvard now and I decided to join up and chat about warbirds through the winter season.
