Some time in the late 70's, my mother introduced me to all the wonders of the public library. One of the first books I checked out was likely Birdsall's "Log of the Liberators". Fast forward to 2012 - I happen upon a used book sale to raise money aboard the USS Midway Museum in San Diego and find a well-worn copy of Log for $10. This prompted me to conduct an internet search for Mr. Blatchley.

I probably haven't seen Mr Blatchley in over 30 years, but he once very kindly shared stories of the B-24 "Little Audrey" and loaned some of his original bombardier manuals to someone who was once a wide-eyed 10 year old.

Blue skies!
Ken
