Very sad news.

Just found this report here: -

http://www.kmbc.com/article/two-killed- ... n/10313990

I assume it was 'Baby Duck' he and his passenger were flying?

Cheers

Paul

Quite a few articles mentioning it was Baby Duck he was flying in the show yesterday and had departed the airport at 10 this morning.

It makes me sick hearing $hit like this.

My deepest condolences to Vlado's family and loved ones.

He wasn't just *one* of the best, he was THE best.

He was an outstanding pilot, and an even better person- incredibly knowledgeable, gracious and funny, always willing to share his views and expertise. Our world is significantly darker today without him in it.

This really hurts.

I think he's higher off the ground with the gear down in that takeoff picture than he was on his low passes! I was able to see his routine in Baby Duck and Moonbeam several times, his has to be the most memorable for me out of all the Mustang displays I've seen.
