The Hellcat commercial must have been well received, now there is a new Ram commercial where a Ram is towing the forward fuselage of a B-25.



It looks to be a film prop or air show "$5 to sit in" display,as the copilot's window is missing, the cockpit looks stripped, and there is a .50 cal machine gun in the nose...one certainly would be there if it was a restoration project being transported.
The unit ends just in back of the top turret. There is no sign of a wing attachment point.

It's in bare metal, has a top turret and the nose art is "Eagle's Nest" with a groups of cartoon eagles wearing flight jackets. Looks like it is something added by the commercial producers.

Anyone know more about it?

I had the same thought. I think they figured out that the market segments of warbird lovers and pickup truck buyers overlaps pretty well. (Link to previous WIX discussion about the Hellcat commerical, for the interested.) Don't forget about GM using their pickup truck to tow the Yankee Air Museum's planes into the new building either. (Also found a commercial with a C-123 while looking for the YAM story.)


The top turret doesn't look quite right either.


Apparently it belongs to the EAA.

This is the replica forward fuselage built by Young Aviators at the EAA for Kidventure. When done it'll be combined with a flight simulator that people can "fly". It's a really neat project.

Haha, thank you for fixing that for me!!

I took my son and nephew to Osh and they seriously loved this B-25 nose section/sim. The EAA outfit that runs it does a fantastic job in making five kids a team and then putting them inside to play at being a bomber crew. They did it twice, didn't mind staying in line to do so, and would've stayed there all day if we would have let them. A great idea well executed.

Sounds like an awesome experience! We had a similar thing when I was a kid at a tank museum, one of the employees would place kids at different places in a T-54 (or 55 or 62, I don't remember the details as I was 11) and tell them what their job would be! It was quite a fun thing to do, and I wanted to be a tanker for some time... Something which didn't happen since I grew a good 15cm past the maximal size for that job fortunately, I love planes as much (if not more) and got to fly in several Soviet made aircraft, from the An-2 "Colt" to the Ka-27 "Helix".
