Just a few pics to get the ball rolling:

Nothing says "temptation" quite like a P-38 step ladder.

I was unable to make it due to a scheduling conflict. I thought the Hintons were supposed to be there, but I've yet to see a mention of them anywhere. Did they not make it? And did the Zero wind up flying? I haven't seen a pic of that yet either.

I saw no sign of either of the Hintons or Warren Pietsch.

Bernie Vasquez and Evan Fagen were hopping cockpits faster than a one-legged man at a square dance.

The Zero never left the ground.

Personal favorites were Bernie V's FM-2 and Hurricane displays. Not a big Mustang fan, but Ray Fowler was also having way too much fun in "Sweet Revenge".

The Zero had some brake issues in Fridays practice that could not be resolved in time to make it safe to fly in Saturdays winds.

The Hintons were not able to make it do to some last minute unforseen circumstances.

Other than that, the show went pretty smoothly despite the high winds.

And this is what highlights the exceptional skill set of all those involved: When pieces are missing and the plan changes, but the event still runs smoothly!

Kudos! :drink3:

It looks like a terrific show. Kudos to all involved and nice pics. The late Bill RR. Ross used to put a gallon drum next to that ladder to make it easier to get up and down in his P-38. That ladder looks like an accident waiting to happen. Brake problems on the Zero? Isn't Mitsubishi Aircraft still in business? Just order a few parts, LOL. I've been told that Dehaviland still offers parts support for all of their aircraft going back at least to the DH 60 Moth. You will pay a premium for factory new Tiger Moth parts.

Well, I appreciate all the hard work and planning that had to go into this. It was a great day! Thanks!

I liked this picture, but had to take you and the modern equipment out of it.

Dan K. I’m fairly certain I saw Warren there when I was walking around.

Absolutely love the edited image that you made. The ragged edges really set it in a 40's time capsule.

Unfortunately Warren was unable to make the show.

Also, I'm a little disappointed with your picture editing. You erased me from the picture. I felt like I was one of the better parts of it. :D

I'm used to seeing photos of US airshows where the display line is a literal mile or more from the crowd and the performers are at a fair altitude - this looks like it was a superb show! Thanks so much for the photos and I hope to see more!

I play flight sim games and like to do "airshow routines" for fun, so seeing this is absolute gold! Is there any chance I could get a higher-res version to transcribe?

I'm afraid not, Zac. That pic represents all 6 foot something of me on tiptoes with the iphone maxed out.

Well, ok, I guess we can excuse Steve Hinton from participating for some recent nicks and scratches to his person.

Just a reminder that Dougie Bader flew combat with two tin legs...

Just sayin'... (tongue in cheek...wishes for quick healing, Steve Hinton)
