They spend plenty of time roasting and pointing out all the "unrealistic" stuff, but at the same time, you get all the fun moments when they see/hear stuff done right and they are smiling the whole time having fun roasting it while enjoying it at the same time.

It's ENTERTAINMENT. As they say several times - if this was real, they'd have everyone in the air, not just 2x 2-ships, they'd have sent Fat Amy in to do the actual drop (if not Tomahawks) and had plenty of E/A-18G's eliminating those pesky SA-3s beforehand. But it's a movie and let's have fun with it.

Thanks for posting this link. Super funny.

Kindly name your top 5 recent Hollywood aviation movies.

Thanks..

Recent, as in any movies.

FFS, comprehension issues?

Pick the three dozen top movies over the past five years. TGM doesn't belong on the same list, it was over-hyped CRAP. hth.

I'm not responsible for your hurt feelings.

The box office totals don't lie, people have been craving a movie like this for several years. It isn't woke, no capes, and it didn't subvert our expectations. The flying was unbelievably well done, the story was solid and FUN...it will go down as one of the best sequels ever produced. Other than Waldo Pepper and maybe the Battle of Britain, it's now in my top three of aviation films.

Ahhh so we are going to be nasty and insulting now are we? All because you can't answer a simple question?

Ok....

No comprehension issues at this end. You were asked to name your top 5 recent aviation movies that were better than TG:M

.......and you didn't.

Maybe you didn't carefully read my request.

As for comprehension: I eliminated non-aviation movies from the question and you missed that.

Just saying ANY movie - i.e. including non-aviation movies - is better than TG:M is a silly statement in this discussion.

I pointed that out: you must have missed that too.

Also I used the same word you originally did so as to not confuse you too much: "recent". I didn't specify 5 years.

My feelings? Laughter and mirth at your post. Perhaps a touch of pity.

So.... think you want to try again? I'll give you another chance - maybe you can do better:

Please name your top 5 recent AVIATION (maybe caps will help you focus) movies that you think are better than TG:M.

And just to calm your fears - it's clear you don't like to be caught out: there's no wrong answer here because it's a matter of taste.

I'm just curious as to what your top 5 recent aviation movies are better than TG:M in your opinion.

Don't be afraid...no one is out to get you. It'll be ok.

Heh you're the one who resorted to insult and nastiness - the last refuge of the insecure.

But you just keep thinking that. I know it's easier for you that way

Like I said before:

You can't answer what your top 5 recent aviation movies are that's better than TG:M.

Kind of makes your complaints about TG:M sort of....worthless and ignorable.

Now this is one of the sillier disputes I've seen here lately. I think both of you should go stand in a corner and think about ways not to waste bandwidth on nonsense like this...

Amen to that. Better yet, spend a period in the penalty box.
Hope the Dynamiters have a good year.
I recall when they were in the WIHL. :)

I really have no idea! I'm American born and bred and date from before Hockey was a thing in the States. After almost thirty years in Canada I still have no idea how hockey works. The last time I drove past the arena on game night there were cars parked for blocks so I guess they're doing OK...

I am amazed that anybody here has heard of my little town...
