Anyone know where the F-101A at Tom Reilly's shop came from?

Thanks,

Jim

My notes indicate the following ID...

Model: McDonnell F-101A-20-MC Voodoo
S/N: 54-1443 USAF
C/N: 40

This is what WD4 has regarding 54-1443...

-> displayed at Tulsa OK (by 1985)
-> to Rick E. Sharpe / Warbirds Unlimited of Rosharon TX (1988/8)
-> to Dean Martin / Warplanes Inc. of Burlington VT (1988/9)
-> to Quonset Air Museum of North Kingstown RI (1995/4)

I first spotted the disassembled airframe at Kissimmee in July 1998. Is it still there?

Regards,

Mike

Thanks guys. This is very interesting. The reason I asked is that I was told in the mid 1990s about a F-101 that was in Texas that QAM was tying to get saved. They couldn't take the plane, but wanted to make sure it found a home. The plane could be had for the back tie down payments. I just assumed it later went to Flying Tigers. Thanks for confirming it did. So I wonder if they paid the bill and hence they were shown as owner?

I assume it is still there, but I don't know if it suffered any damage in the hurricane or not.

Jim
