Hi everyone,

I got a request from Mike the owner of the desert rat for some help. He purchased a drop tank the other day and was hoping someone could identify exactly what aircraft it might have been used with. (the seller said p-51 but mike thinks it could be p-40, f4f, or even maybe p-38) He was hoping someone more knowlegeable could identify it.

here are the photos

a flange running down the side of the tank with what looks like a gasket and clips that hold the tank together

thanks everyone for the help!
