This season at Old Warden has been particularly enjoyable, and there's now just one evening show left to mark the end of the Old Warden season.

The Avros and the Edwardians really made this show stand out - particularly the hops by the Bleriot and Deperdussin - although the word hop is a bit of an understatement for the latter. Having been to a lacklustre performance at Duxford the day before, the contrast was very marked.

I hope that all of those who chose this show for their first experience of Old Warden went away with a smile on their faces, and I hope that they felt some of the magic and charm that makes Old Warden so special for many of us.

Many thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this a tremendous show.

Rob

Wow Rob, thanks for sharing. What a show that must have been. Your shots are truely stunning. Someday I am going to make it a point to get over there and see one of those shows. It also looked like a perfect day again for some photography. Keep up the great work.

Cracking stuff Rob, can I join in?

There is no finer airshow venue on the planet than Old Warden in the sun. A superb final Sunday display of the year (there is another evening display next Saturday) saw everything that could fly get airbourne.

A superb 3 aircraft Avro formation of Tutor, 504 and Triplane only being bettered by Andy Sephton and the Deperdussin, 4 trips up and down the runway was an amazing site for such an old aircraft.

Wonderful, a big thank you to all the staff volunteers and Pilots at Old Warden.

Rob/Nick--

Wow, superb work. "Calendar" stuff! Especially enjoyed the three-plane "stack" of Avros from three periods, all on slightly different angles. Really rather magical.

Cheers and keep posting!
