350 knots? Uhhhhh huh.

The structural limiting airspeed is 382 or .7 Mach, but the USAF's max allowable airspeed is 275. Even 275 was only attainable when diving to gain airspeed for a loop or something.

The tweet is a really great airplane. I'd love to own one for fun.

Over 2-million in spare parts

If the T-37 is like the rest of the warbirds, that means 2 extra tires, a starter/generator and an APU.

I remember hearing from the maintenance guys at Columbus AFB when I was a student there that by far the most expensive item on the Tweet was the Main Fuel Control for the J69 engine, which was somewhere in the $80K range. Apparently everything else was cheap and plentiful outside of the engine bay.
