Greetings one and all.
I was wondering if their has been any serious talk on the matter of raising the B-36 that crashed in Lake Worth just out side of Carswell (SAC) Run Way in Fort Worth Texas ?

She was salvaged in 1949, within days of going off the runway.

I seem to remember a few years ago reading in the Fort Worth paper that divers did determine that some material was still in the lake, but that it was extremely badly damaged from the crash and recovery efforts.

Aloha All,
When I was a pre-schooler, I played with a "back-door" neighbor's kid ...in the next block... His Dad and mine traded rides to Consolidated. His Dad was one of those killed on the Lake Worth B-36.

Now my question. What was the kid's name? I can not recall...so I must begin with the lost crew names.... Any help from newspapers of the time?
Mahalo nui loa,
David Aiken
