Hey Lynn,

The only thing really close and near downtown is the Toronto Aerospace Museum at Downsview Airport, home of Bombardier's deHavilland devision. The CWH is down the road about an hour and half in Hamilton and in Markham is Al Rubin's collection of stored ex-CAF airframes that include several CF-5s, CF-104s, T-33s and a couple of Belguim 104s.

BTW, the TAM is not that big and have about a dozen airframes. The best being the dismantled Lancaster FM104 that was once mounted on a pole in Toronto.

Eric

Lynn--

If you're coming in via Pearson airport, over on the GA side there's still a Super Constellation parked in the open that had been a small bar; also on that part of the airport is the "ghost" of Carl Millard's base with two C-54s squirreled away behind a hangar. Derry Road runs along that side of the field. On Derry, on the other side of Airport Road from Pearson, a few blocks down is Wildwood Park with an Avro Canada CF-100 on a pylon. BTW there's also rather a nice little museum/gallery of Toronto airport history on the mezzanine level of the new Terminal One.

S.

If you are coming on the Hawker I imagine they will park you at the north end so that is right where Millard and the Connie is. Also check out Aviation World on Carlingview Dr, right beside the Landing Strip  One of the best aviation stores you will ever see.
