Warbird Information Exchange

Once again I found myself in a restoration shop with no camera.....darn it.

Anyhow, I stumbled across the Air Heritage museum in Beaver Falls today after landing and taking a walk-about. The couple of gents at the hangar were real pleasant and let me gander all I wanted, so I wanted to say Thanks!

Of interest to me was the A20 (44-0020) and the P39 (Q or N?). They also had a bare Stinson Reliant fuselage, and a matching set of wings with the fabric on, no mistaking those wings! All 3 of which is apparently owned by MARC (Tallichet).

The bad news today was that after 70 or so flights, my rc P40 (yes the $1000 type, not the $1,000,000 type) decided to have an engine failure at the worst possible moment which was the beginning of a vertical climb out after a slow speed pass down the runway. Time to buy some balsa......

Looks like some progess has been made in the 2 years I visited. I'd love to see that in the Air. Glad to see they have a Website again.

less than a month ago, I purchased my first ever, digital camera.

I paid less than 40 bucks for it at the local walmart. I spent an additional 30 bucks on a memory card. The quality of the photos was great, the camera small enough to carry in my pocket, and cheap enough not to care too much if it got banged or damaged.

Because the flash was not working, I exchanged it for a more expensive model, and I find myself now, leaving my old trusted Canon SLR at home, and carrying the new little digital 'thang with me. Photos are great!
