I am trying to ID a T-28 in a photo. It is overall grey with the markings "253" on the nose. Any clues?

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

With those colors, I'm guessing a B or C, right? There is one T-28A whose serial would be related. As for the Bs and Cs, there doesn't seem to be any correlation between the 3 digit number and the aircraft's BuNo.
