 Post subject: New Storch airborne

This is G-STCH, the first Argus-powered Storch airborne in the UK for around 20 years I think, on her first test flight today. Owned by Peter Holloway and will be based and operated out of Old Warden aerodrome along with the rest of his fleet.

The first Storch's I saw were @ OSH in 1990 and they had flown a distance to get there...v-e-r-y slowly.
:shock:
I did not realize at the time how rare they are. They are my favorite STOL a/c.

I think he was considering a pseudo-N69QF scheme, but decided on the 'less is more' approach.
