Ok, WIX'ers I need a little help.

Over the summer I was reading an issue of "Air Classics" and in the book review section they had a review of a book about the 379th bomber group during WWII that I would like to find for my library.

I did not pick up the issue, and I cannot for the life of me remember what the title of the book was, though I remember it was written from the co-pilots perspective.

If anyone can check their summer issues of "Air Classics" for the book review section and give me the title, ISBN, etc. of that book I would highly appreciate it!

Thanks again for any help!

Is it Return to Base? It is featured in the Air Classics with Brooklyn Bum 2nd (P-39) on the cover.

No, I don't think that was the one-- thanks for the suggestion though.

As I recall, the book cover had a photo of the pilot (or co-pilot) in the cockpit of a B-17.

I wish for the life of me I would have written down the title while I was looking at the magazine!

Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to look at their summer issues of "Air Classics" to see if they can find the name of that book!

Was this book mentioned in the "checklist" section? If so the only one I found was the same book already mentioned: Return to Base.

Yes! That is the book I was looking for!

Thanks to both of you for taking the time to find it for me-- I really appreciate it!

I am ordering it today.
