Glad to see you escaped the clutches of those rabid West Coast Hippies, Rob. I know you probably missed it, but Bill Greene did a piece on Dan McQue last night on the news. They had some good inflight footage both inside and out of his L-39.

For those having trouble getting the video clip to run I'll try posting a still from the video. Definitely looks to be down in a depression between the runways. Still an amazing bit of video!

did they check the tips of the prop for dents and scratches?

there is a section in one of the fiction books I have where it describes something like that happening and attributes the not hitting the deck to ground effect. could that be what happened here as he looked to be still dropping pretty fast just before his lowest.
