Glad to see you check in Jim.
This winter has been a real bear. Keeping lots of folks inside and or grounded.

That paint scheme just looked like too much fun, to not do it!! I love it!

Would like to throw this out to you all - do you think people would be interested in seeing a P-51 and a Spitfire duel at a few East Coast (PA, NJ, DE, VA) airshows in 2014?

Jim and I are thinking about putting together a two ship (Spitfire and P-51) and asking the fans and spectators each show "Which is better the P-51 or the Spitfire?" Jim would fly the Spitfire I would fly the P-51. The routine would be focused around answering the age old question on which is the better fighter.

Our demo would be about 10 -15 minutes long.
We start off by going head to head - allow the Spitfire to show off for a few minutes, then the Mustang, then we'd do some aerobatics together as a two ship - then we'd ask the crowd to pick the winner - allowing the winner to do a victory roll!!

Let me know what you all think - nothing in stone yet, but might try and do a few shows this year.

Sounds great! Please get this into the Reading WWII weekend lineup...and if they don't go for that, then bring it to the Clambake in late July in Reading.

Was at Reading in 2011 and seen the Griffon Spitfire perform after a P-51 flew, and I don't know how hard each
aviator pushed each aircraft but the Spitfire is awesome. Went back in 2012 with my brother and was bragging up the Spit, but it didn't show up. Oh well I still took a flight in Panchito.

Sounds like a good idea, so as long as the maneuvers are well practiced and the routines are practiced to the nth degree and each maneuver has an out. No impromptu 'hey watch this' kind of stuff.

Regardless of what you do, the sounds will be glorious.
