A flight of eight OH-58 Kiowas just flew over at about 1000' AGL. A very interesting sound! In all my life I've never seen that before. 8)

Last fall I was working on a construction site about 4 miles South West of the NE-SW runway of Mpls/St Paul International and I heard a very differant sounding large jet. I looked up and I saw a large plane with 4 engines, two on each side of the fuselage one directly outboard of the other. And a few minutes later there was a second one that went over. Each had just taken off and were heading SW. When I got home and did some reseaching on the "net", the only two planes I could find with that configuation were the British VC-10 and the Russian IL-62. From what I read, none of the VC-10 operating anymore, so they must have been IL-62's. What would they be doing in Minnesota and why two of them??? Hugh

Not a great shot but he didn't come close enough and I didn't feel like chasing him. Here for the Superbowl I assume. Probably mooring at Albert Whitted Field downtown. They had a Goodyear blimp hangar there until the late '70s they tore it down, said it wasn't safe and would cost too much to fix!

from a couple weeks ago...held to prevent tactical information leaking to enemy spies! Flying high over Tampa Bay. Are they supposed to do this over heavily populated areas? Either the KC135 is gassing a KC10 or the KC10 is trying to push-start the KC-135!

Hanging out @ the 262 hanger @ KPAE this A.M. and saw a 777-300 on a B-1 test flight (company 'B' first flight) so cool to be that close to those big GE's running, like standing in the turbine room @ Hoover Dam, you can just feel the immense power-

We must limit politicians to two terms:
one in office and one in jail.
