WD4 doesn't say much other than it was restored in 1994, then again in 1997 as a TF-51D. It recently went through another rebuild. No idea as to the wet wing. BTW... WD4 doesn't mention the wet wing.

I've been talking with a previous owner and he was curious if it still had the wet wing.

Any idea when the wet wing was removed/replaced/closed off? Was it as late as the 94 or 97 restorations?

Also, the former owner says he used to fly patrols off Cuba in the late 60s under contract to the US and Bahama governments. What type of patrols would these be and for what purpose? And did any other Mustangs get contracts of this nature?

It was done just after the restoration in 94 in HOLLISTER ,CA
Dwight Thorn was doing some engine work on the airplane and Bryan Marsh did the un-wetting of the wing
