Just heard that Lone Star plans to bring some aircraft up. Sounds like a good one. Will it be on Monday only? Hope to make it over for awhile.

I'll be there for awhile on Sunday. Cavanaugh's web site lists the SBD and F6F coming up from Lone Star. Anyone else coming?

I have a 4 day trip and will be back Monday, and we park across the ramp from them, so I will be around Monday.

Just came back from Cavanaugh's... crowd was a fair size. Was pretty windy this morning with some dark clouds but it cleared off so they could do some flying. My dad and I stayed long enough to see the Mustang, DC-3 and Hellcat fly. Looks like the Corsair is still a work in progress. Paint has been sanded down for a repaint. P-40 has a radiator out. Always fun to visit when they are flying some of the collection. Ronnie Gardner was flying the Mustang and Stu Dawson was flying Lone Star's Hellcat.

Oh no... it was flown in and hasnt flown since as far as I know. Looks to be just waiting in the wings for restoration. Might be awhile before it flies. When work does start on it I will post of its progress.

I didn't realize they were completely refinshing the Corsair. I was hoping to see a "Finger Four" of VF-17 Corsairs one day (Yagen, Osborne, Wentworth, and Cavenaugh). It'll be interesting to see how it progresses.
