DESCRIPTION; A Douglas A4D-2 Skyhawk (BuNo 145006) of attack squadron VA-83 Rampagers is refueling a Vought F8U-1P Crusader (BuNo 146829) of photo reconnaissance squadron VFP-62 Fighting Photos. Both squadrons were part of Carrier Air Group Eight (CVG-8) aboard the carrier USS Forrestal (CVA-59) in the early 1960s. Date Note: The date given "26 Jun 1987" has to be incorrect, as both types of aircraft were long out of the US Navy inventory. Also, the Skyhawk BuNo 145006 crashed 17 km (10 mi) astern of USS Forrestal on 16 November 1962. The pilot was killed in this accident.

VA-195 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing Eleven (CVW-11) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) for a deployment to Vietnam from 6 November 1970 to 17 July 1971.

DESCRIPTION; Four Vought F4U-4 fighters of fighter squadron VF-671 Waldomen on 15 December 1951. VF-671 was assigned to Carrier Air Group Eight (CVG-8) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Tarawa (CV-40), which was on a regular deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 28 November 1951 to 11 June 1952. VF-671 was a reserve squadron called to active duty on 1 Feb 1951. It was redesignated VF-81 on 4 Feb 1953 and again to VA-66 on 1 Jul 1955. It was finally disestablished on 1 Oct 1986.

Does that Corsair #114 look like it's "Really" tucked in close or is it the angle of the photo!
