The CAF B-29/B-24 Squadron has a picture of Diamond Lil/Ol 927 up in the air today over Addison. Congrats to all involved. I'm hoping to see her again later this month in the land of beer and brautwurst..

Fantastic news! Congrats to all the dedicated folks working to return Lil to the skies! :drink3:

Any chance she may join the roster for Thunder? That would definitely bring me back. As of right now, I'm kind of "meh" about the show if the Mossie and 262 are out.

Looks like FIFI and Lil are scheduled to be in Fargo that weekend.

Is it a sure thing that the mossie and 262 aren't going to thunder? I suppose that means chuckie as well. I planned a vacation around thunder mostly for those specific 3 aircraft.

Humm - since Fargo is cancelled and the new B-29 squadron calander is showing the Michigan dates are "tenative" - you might see FiFi and Lil up there!

Maybe the B-24 at Geneseo... Here's to hoping.

Doh! Sorry for the confusion.

I knew the Fargo show was canceled, I just thought the pair was making a tour stop anyway. Serves me right for trusting online calendars!

'Chuckie' has been sold, and is already with a new owner in that graveyard of airworthy B-17s, the PNW.

According to the Airpower Squadron schedule they will be at the Fargo Air Museum August 8-11 along with the B-17 Sentimental Journey. The Fargo tour stop dates are also in the latest CAF B-29/ B-24 Squadron newsletter.

Yes! Let's hope this one breaks the mold. A shame to see so many sitting on the West Coast that could be doing more, flying and being shown to more people.

B-17F Boeing Bee
B-17G Evergreen
B-17G Miss Angela
B-17G Fuddy Duddy

Am I missing any?

Paul Allen's 'E

To be fair, 'Fuddy Duddy' does still make an annual trip to Chino each May.

A tip of the hat and big thanks to Rick is in order for getting her back in the air. I was fortunate enough to work with him during my brief time as a volunteer at LSFM and I can say he is definalty top notch and was the man for the job.

Thanks Rick.
