Chris H. and the bunch from Grissom brought this chunk of B-17 up with them...great way to discourage tailgaters.

The Canucks all made it, save the Swordfish. The story I got was fuel pump gremlins. It still might make it late Thursday/early Friday.

Sadly, no sign of it. I'll ask around Thursday.

Frasca Wildcat arrived late Tuesday (making 4 on field).

Lots of rain headed in that direction today. Probably not much flying going on.

Got online down at Registration (since the weather is so nice). Here's a few from yesterday's show:

Fifi dropped in just before the show

Image

WB airshow had formation groups and about a dozen fighters:

Scott Yoak flew a nice Hoover-like routine in Quicksilver

And the show finished up with a nice formation of planes Hoover has used in airshows. I cut off Doug Rozendaal's wing tip :(

Bob Odegaard nailed the engines-off landing in the Shrike, rolling up to Hoover's feet at show center

They are still promising an airshow today - will believe it when I see it.

Break in the action here in OSH as one of the two F-16's buzzing the field went off the end of the runway and broke the nose. This is probably the worst photo of many to come, but it happened while I was off the front line they evacuated the whole flight line to be safe.

Tower will advise status of the airshow at about 12:25 CDT - pilot apparently stepped out after a few minutes and walked away. Some who did see it said he landed second and showed no sign of being able to slow down. He went around the #1 guy and off the north end, but not far enough to encounter any other aircraft.

Here's a few from last night in the haze - not much one can do in those conditions:

Here's an interesting study in the different wing folding mechanisms:

Here's how humid it is:
