Long time no post here:

I might have to consider going next year now. Even if just a couple level passes would be great! I've never seen a mig 21 fly either and would love to see that too! Seen them static but never fly.

GLAD to hear that the show dates will be in August again! While I am not a huge Mustang fan, it is a very appropriate theme for Thunder, and I am sure there will be a very good cross section of vintage warbirds of all types including some jets.

Looking forward to Thunder Over Michigan! After discovering this show it 2009, I haven't missed it since. In my opinion the best Warbird show in the midwest! Thank you for putting it on! (and if I may, one small request, a P-47 for us Jug fanatics!) lol

Did a bit of clean up on the thread. Sorry to anyone cut in the cross fire but decided to cut anything in relation to "the post"
I post this only so those you had stuff deleted know who and why.

Back to the topic of Thunder 2012!

Tim

DO you guys think you are going to try and top the gathering of Mustangs? Just wondered what the target number was if there was one. TOM is always a fun show.

Great start to the aircraft list for next year's Thunder! It would be nice to see some Mustangs that are never seen in this part of the country (like the beautiful Arctic Red paint scheme F-51D Mustang "Val Halla") make the show.

It will be nice to see a large gathering of Mustangs, but I am really interested in seeing what other prop and jet warbirds will be on next year's aircraft list. The small ramp footprint left by Mustangs will leave plenty of space for a large VARIETY of vintage warbird types.

Chris,

We really don't have a particular number in mind.

Made my hotel reservation this week and I am looking forward to working the photo tour and photo pit again this year.

Throw a few T-6s, T-28s and a few B-25s to go with the Mustangs and the F-86 and it will make a great North American Aviation get together. Now that would be a great formation pass...

T-6
P-51
B-25
T-28
F-86

Would it even be possible given the airspeed differences?

Cheers,

Jeff :spit
