If it helps any, Chuck had both of his Mustangs and the J2F-4 at Oshkosh last summer, so certain logistics might not be all that much trouble, though I haven't seen any mention of his J2F coming to the show.

Boy I wish I could make it up there one year!! From an organizer's perspective, at the "published" appearance fee rate, this is more than $75,000 in Mustangs!!

Does he fly them all or can other pilots fly them over?

I've seen his Mustangs flown by Mark Watt and Dennis Sanders, in the past, but of course it's not always possible to find pilots at any given time. I don't know who all flew Chuck's aircraft to Oshkosh last summer, but I really admired the turnout of aircraft from his collection.

(Sorry for the bit of thread-drift!)

No drift at all. Sounds like it's logistically possible to see the Duck at TOM.

I see that the CWH Flying Schedule this year has the Lanc listed as attending Thunder. Hmm...

To clarify, there are no plans to bring the Lancaster to THUNDER this year.
Obviously things can always change but it is not booked at this time.
Just wanted to cut this off at the pass :)

Thanks for clarifying. I figured if the Lanc was coming, TOM would have made an announcement by now. Really wish I could make it this year. I'm sure it will be another one to remember, especially with the B-29 making her Thunder debut.

My apologies to all for my uncalled for posts. Sometimes people get on my last nerve and I become an ass.

Mudge the contrite
