I hope that Kevin and Mike can come up with some P-51s that are not often seen. One that I would especially like to see is the Cavalier owned by the Lindsay family. As far as I know it is the only one flying that has the tip tanks.

Just love Mustangs and actually all piston engined aircraft. Would a A-26 Invader please show up!! I will eventually get back to Cavanaugh with a buddy of mine who is saving for a right hand seat flight experience and I will be in the jump seat of their A-26,"Hard To Get". But until then I need one at Thunder.

VERY nice lineup of Mustangs expected so far. It looks like so far we have 10 Mustangs announced and one jet warbird (WHF F-86F). An A-26 Invader would be an outstanding addition to the lineup! So far the announced lineup is 10 Mustangs to 1 other warbird type. When all is said and done I hope the ratio is closer to something like at least 1 other type of warbird (props AND jets) for every 3 Mustangs. A ratio like that would result in about 7 to 9 other types of warbirds if 20 to 25 Mustangs show up. Of course I would love to see 25 to 30 Mustangs and another 15 to 20 prop and jet warbirds in the flying lineup. Considering multiple T-6/SNJ types and others, getting at least 15 to 20 or more non-Mustang attendees should not be too difficult.

Just over 7 months and counting to a GREAT warbirds air show.

:D

FWIW.....

For your Mustang guys doing head counts.....if you seen my thread about On A Sunny Day In Florida, you know I was in New Smyrna, FL taking pics of planes at American Aero Services. I think it was Monday I was back down there at American Aero Services again. I spoke to the mech working on the below P-51. He said they plan on bringing it out of the hanger for ground runs within the next couple of weeks. Barring no unforseen problems.....it should be doing test flights after that. I didn't ask when the A-36 will start ground runs.

Sooooo....for you head-counters or wishful dreamers for TOM 2012.....

While I'm speaking of TOM 2012....I checked the website for a list of aircraft and didn't see anything. Anyone know if any Grumman Ducks will be there?
