With the latest 2005 list of military base closings and realignments are there warbird gate guardians or displays that will be effected and have to be moved?

If Niagara falls closes there is an F4, a Voodoo and a C47 to be disposed of or relocated .
Maybe to the Niagare air and space museume if they have room .

If NAS Atlanta does indeed close, there will be an A7E on a pedestal, an F-14, an F-18, an E2-C, an A4 and a AH-1 that will have to go somewhere.

All those aircraft would be reallocated by the respective museum in charge of them. They would stay in the system.

Is it possible that some may remain in situ? For example, the former NAS Alameda still retains its pedestal-mounted A-7E.

Mike the only way that could happen is if a local public entity, VFW, American Legion or another approved nonprofit entity stepped up and took custody with the controlling museum's approval.
