s/n 43-11734 is not listed in the registry or the 5th edition of the Warbird Directory.
Does anyone know the history of this bird?

Err... was it a CAF bird, Bryan? I don't know. That old Dixie Wing link listed a number of then-active P-63 projects, but not necessarily exclusive to the CAF.

Perhaps not. The dixie wing link is a dead end, so i ASSumed it was a CAF Bird. You know what happens when...

This one is not a former CAF airplane. The one that Rufus burned up in the field about 1965 still. Both of these airplanes were in a collection of a bunch of P-63s owned by two different guys on different occasions. The one for sale and the CAF burn victim were both in that collection but are different airplanes. Add to that that a bunch of the collection I mentioned was apparently in a hangar fire at one point. As a result of fires, multiple airframes, lots of parts, several owners and not keeping parts seperated and identified, IDs get mixed up.

I have some bad iphone photos from the last few months. It was too dark last week at the Christmas party to take any but the cockpit is looking good!

Beautiful! I can't wait to see another 'cobra on the CAF's "active" roster.

I believe this P-63 was a project sold by Courtesy several years ago and being rebuilt by Aerocrafters. Now it's being sold again. If I remember right it was listed for around 350k about 5 years ago. It wasn't in the CAF.
