Thu Jun 13, 2013 7:48 pm

Hi guys

A friend of mine writes a book in memory of B-17 (42-97338 "The Tarheel Lemon") crew who land in Jan 1945 near his home, he looks for photos of B-17 to publish in his book, photos of inside of preserved B-17s or Walk Around... (Thunderbird? Yankee Lady? Texas Raider? chukie?)

He would like to publish this pics on his Book

I come to ask you to help him (He don't speak English)

Cheers,

Cédric

Cédric, feel free to contact me at lritger -at- yahoo -dot- com, I'll be happy to help with photos of Chuckie. Let's find out what he needs (how many photos, what size (in inches or mm), what resolution (300 dpi?), what areas of the aircraft, etc.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Lynn

Thanks for the answers... but there is no problems to publish USAF photos on a book?

Lynn, I send you an email I think 3000*2000 could be better for a print :D

hello
I am the person who searches for pictures and items on The Tarheel lemon F3V which you speak.
The book I want to make traces the history of the bomber's first mission to the last.
I wanted to decorate my texts with images from the site FOLD 3, with crews photos.
Unfortunately for more than a year I try to contact them for permission, with different messages, but I get no response.
I do not want to be accused of usurping the rights to the image, or copy, my only goal is to pay tribute to veterans.
Your help on this would be welcome.
Thank you for the two pictures of the aircraft
thank you :D

You are allowed to publish the pictures from FOLD3, they are free to the public. As Mark stated, just credit them as (U.S. Air Force Photo) U.S. National Archives.
