There are also some on rebuild with Murray Griffiths at Wangaratta in Australia. Perhaps Setter can add more, I know he visits there regularly.

Yes there 4 or more at/going to Murray Griffiths Precision Aerospace productions at Wangarratta Victoria including the famous Big Nig and all are to be airworthy - Big Nig arrived a month ago and the first wing sections are in the Jig. The A20s are part of the 10 recovered from PNG in the 1980s and 90s Two were returned to static status - one for the RAAFM and one for PNG - here are some identities - more to come

A20 G USAA C BuNo42-86615 M Griffiths

Recovered from PNG parts of 42-86615 were utilised by Dennis Doggett and his RAAF crew in the restoration of two static Bostons and was one of the 10 Boston wrecks from PNG in the 1980s to allow for two restorations. Most of the left over spares are now being passed on to Murray Griffiths of Wangarratta based Precision Aerospace Productions to allow for up to 4 airworthy restorations for Australian and US based collections. History:Delivered to USAAF as 42-86615- Allocated to 417th BG/675th BS. Forced landing Saidor, PNG, Apr. 16, 1944. RAAF Museum, RAF Wagga, NSW, Nov. 21, 1984-1991 - Recovered from Yamai, Saidor - Static Restoration project, started 1988. Serial #: 42-86615 Construction #: ? Also, Pima got Tallichet's other A-20. I don't know if they're restoring it yet or what. It's an A-20G. My notes are all at home, so I don't remember the serial number. Check the registry...

Although that sounds right to me, I haven't heard much of their fates...

Some are fuselages only, I believe...

Setter, can you get me the serial numbers of the aircraft at Precision Aerospace yet?

Does anybody know what the Boomerang is?

Sorry, Setter, I was in a bit of a rush when I wrote that.

In another thread, you said you would find the serials of the aircraft at Precision for me...I'm assuming you forgot or you don't know. Sorry if I'm sounding pushy...I just really like OS2Us, P-38s, and A-20s. (and B-26s, but they don't have those).

No I didn't forget you mate but it takes a while to get everything because SnNos aren't the main thing on the minds of the Wang Guys - I have some of ot and will put the rest as I get it

The A20s haven't all arrived yet but progress has started on the A20 wings (first set) and the first fuselage (Big Nig) has arrived for the start of the work - jigging etc

There was also an example (might have been just a forward section) in the UK being restored with the Douglas Boston Trust. I don't have any details.
