"Eddie R. Sanders was a test pilot during the Second World War. When the Japanese Zero crashed in the Aleutian Islands, the United States Military recovered and repaired it. It was transported to North Island Naval Air Station for test flights. Eddie Sanders was the first to test fly the captured Zero. His test flights helped discover some of the Zero's weaknesses, which would later help American pilots in combat against the Japanese airplane. This collection includes Eddie's log book which records the Zero test flights." SDASM archives
