Thanks for the Santa Monica photos. My grandfather worked there from 1940 until he got drafted in 1945. I have all of his pay stubs from there packed away.

Gloster Aircraft built over 1,000 Hawker Hurricanes, delivering the last of the 2,750 it constructed in 1942. Production was then switched to Hawker Typhoons for the RAF of which it built all but 17 of the 3,317 aircraft produced.

At the outbreak of the Second World War, the firm lacked any modern designs of its own in production, but had significant expertise and production facilities available. Thus, Gloster undertook manufacture for Hawker-designed aircraft to equip the RAF on behalf of its parent company. During 1939, the company constructed 1,000 Hawker Hurricanes within the first 12 months of the conflict; Gloster delivered the last of its 2,750 Hurricanes in 1942. After ending production of the Hurricane, it was decided to manufacture the newer Hawker Typhoon in its place. Gloster proceeded to construct 3,300 in total, almost the entirety of the type.

My question is where did all the .50 cal. machine guns end up? Did they keep them all or scrap them because they had so many?

My brother's Utah Guard unit had a few.50 guns that were WWII vintage (probably not aircraft guns) when they were preparing for thier first SWA deployment - rebarreled but IIRC the rest was WWII vintage.
