Does anyone know what ever happened to this B-47 http://www.warbirdregistry.org/jetregis ... 32280.html

It was the one that MAPS was supposed to get but then we ended up getting all the Century Series. Just curious where it went. Last time I was down at Dayton it was still sitting outside. ANyone know?

Back in September it was sitting out on the ramp with an F-4 kind of by the museum annex.

I pass by the museum and restoration facility almost on a daily basis and yes both the B-47 and F-4 are still parked out in front of the restoration facility as recently as yesterday (6Nov). The F-4, a D or C model has been parked at various positions on the airfield over the years and is used for Infrared Systems Testing I believe.

Thanks for the info and pics. Whats the story of the grey F4? I remember seeing the camo F4 last year.

The gray F-4D 66-7626 was, until 2 weeks ago, on duty as a gate guard at Wright-Patterson's main gate. Along with F-4D 66-7554. They have since both been replaced with a F-16 and a F-15. I haven't seen 66-7554 yet. I hope they both find good homes.
