New tail enclosure data! This is for Boeing-Wichita produced B-29A 44-70113-80-BW. This aircraft was originally named "Marilyn Gay" during WWII. She served in Saipan with the 73rd Bomb Wing, 500th Bomb Group, 883rd Bomb Squadron. The aircraft is credited with shooting down 3 Japanese aircraft and 3 probable’s, with 27 combat missions and 5 POW missions. After WWII she was renamed "Hoof Hearted" during her service in England. In 1956, the aircraft was sent to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland, with several other B-29’s and used as a ground targets. The aircraft lay derelict until obtained by the B-29 Superfortress Association at Dobbins ARB, Georgia. After static restoration, the aircraft was painted and named "Sweet Eloise".
