Hi All,

We’ve added a gallery of photos from the US Army Aviation Museum at Fort Rucker, AL.
It’s a terrific museum with a nicely varied collection!

Keep 'em coming, Vagabond - this is another I had no idea existed. Some fantastic whirlybirds there! Lovely WWI types too!

I'm so happy that the Warhawk Air Museum chose Bob Love for the markings for their F-86. :D

Hi All,

We’ve finished the process of posting ALL of our air museum galleries - some 126 in total!
We’ll likely be adding to the collection in the future and will post to this thread.
It has been a pleasure to contribute to the community and we appreciate the support and positive feedback from everyone.

Thanks Vagabond! This is something that I have only dreamed of doing with all of my photos. I can't imagine the effort involved - unless you shoot perfect photos every time, the sorting and cropping alone is mind-boggling. Want me to send you all of my OSH photos (1974 - present) You would of course need to digitize everything before about 2009.

These pics are 738 times better than anything I could hope to do, just darn good. I didn't say darn.

Hi All,

We’ve added a gallery of images of aircraft on display at Gowen Field, ID. We were fortunate to be granted access to Gowen, primarily to photograph the display of AFVs on base, and jumped at the chance to see the aircraft displays as well.

Enjoy!

Many of us could only hope to get to all of these museums in our lifetime, let alone photograph, crop, arrange and provide these fantastic views for everyone to see...
THANK YOU!! :supz: :drink3:

Hi All,

I’ve added a gallery of images from the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome to our photo site.

I’ve never really been enamored of early aircraft but this place really changed my thinking! Awesome collection of fascinating aircraft, automobiles, motorcycles and even an M1917 tank. Everything one needs for a day of fun.

Great galleries.
I particularly liked the Fort Rucker, haven't seen recent photos.
But read the signage...several have errors in the type's history.

-To the best of my knowledge, the H-5 was not used in the Pacific in WWII.
-The S-51 was not the first commercial helicopter.
-They display a H-13D/E but the sign gives the specs for the later OH-13S...while not wrong. It's a bit misleading...like showing 53 Corvette and giving the specs for a 67 big block.

Also, questionable markings on the gate guard, by the time short fuselage Hueys were armed, they had gone to subdued insignia.

Hi All,

I recently had the chance to revisit the New England Air Museum in Windsor, CT and photograph some of the aircraft that were not previously on display or were not yet restored on my visits in 2007 & 2012. The current images are at the end of the gallery - starting with image # 92_P1050623. Enjoy!

If you go to the NEAM, see if they will let you try using the gun control system for the B-29, it's quite interesting. They even have a Zero model hanging on the wall that you can try your luck at.... :minigun:
