So, was an origin for the name ever determined? Could it be 2 guys from France had something to do with it? Just interesting as this thread pops up and that is a strange/different name...:

Saw "Toulouse Nuts" on the ABC evening news with a ride and flying honoring a WW2 pilot veteran. Pretty cool! They both looked great!

Saw it a couple months ago. Was gonna buy my son the nickel ride, but we couldn't find anyone around to take our money.

So what was the technique used for the NMF skin? Is it just natural or has it been alclad?

It has a very 50s jet metal look to it?

I dunno. Didn't think to take that close a look at it. Here's a closeup, if that might help someone identify the finish.
