Good luck with that...as we've seen ID'ing trucks makes telling the difference between a 51D from a K look easy. :) :) :)

The truck is a Chevrolet M6 Bomb Truck, standard USAAF bomb truck from WWII. Note the passenger seats under the bomb loading rail. The trailer it is pulling is an M5 bomb trailer, manufactured by Saginaw Steering Gear of Michigan and one other company I can't remember at this moment.

These tractors seem to be modified jeeps. I will assume someone here knows the name of these vehicles? :)

Scott,
The bomb truck with the Lockheed PV(?) is a Ford GTB. The trailer it is loading is an Anthony (manufacturer) Mark II bomb trailer. The GTB was the USN's standard bomb truck in WWII. The GTB shown below is the one which lives at my house (it is for sale).

These are O.E. Szekely Jeep Jet Starter NC1-A APU's. They used them from about 1949 to the early 1960's. Szekely bought them from Willys as CJ-3A's and modified them at their factory. Dual steering rear wheels and a solid front axle. They could turn around in 7 feet.

Probably in a combination of barrels and by tanker. Oil Tankers would have worked for some areas that had the facilities to transfer the oil into barrels or other transports, but I'm sure that in the more advance areas, they used barrels exclusively much as they did with fuels since a barrel didn't need a dedicated tanker to move it.
