Just wondering if I can get a bit of advice from some people on here. I'm thinking of heading over to FHC for their Skyfair event, if it's held on the last Saturday of July, like it has been for the past couple of years. Is it wise to miss the last weekend of OSH? Have most "interesting" aircraft left by the last weekend? Would appreciate a bit of guidance as there's a lot of head scratching going on here! :)

The best flying to see happens between Saturday before the airshow to before the Thursday airshow. If you hang around for the weekend airshows, you'll notice a lot fewer planes on the field.

B-25 "Panchito" down to attend too. Not surprising I know, but still great to see another '25. :supz:

Hopefully we'll see plenty, being the 75th Anniversary of the Dolittle raid!

Thanks to Zachary and Mustangdriver for facilitating the "Cockpit Crawl" after the Warbirds Line Crew meeting on Saturday...

Closest someone like me will ever get to actually hitting the starter on one of these - must be some kind of rush!

CAF's Tora Tora squadron commits. Radials, smoke, & pyro can't be a bad thing, right?

It's just the Bomb Squad (pyro crew) going! No aircraft unfortunately.

I notice Vulture's Row's SBD engine ran recently- perhaps another Oshkosh 2016 contender? Does anyone also have any updates on the Brewster Corsair at Ezell?

Been hoping for that announcement for a while! Awesome news! :supz:

I also see ACC is sending the F-35 and A-10 for Heritage Flights throughout the week.

Any chance that the XP-82 will be ready to fly by the time Osh Kosh comes around?

The CAF's B-29/B-24 Squadron page has posted no squadron meeting in July "due to Oshkosh".

Shall we infer that FIFI is returning for more beer & bratwurst...perhaps meeting up first with "Aluminum Overcast" in Madison 7/21-23?

Any plans to have Diamond Lil airborne by then as well?

From the CAF

B-24 2017 Touring?
As we look at the reality of the engine replacement timeline, it becomes clear that it is not practical to plan for any B-24 events this Summer. It is possible that Lil could be flying for some Fall events, however, we are withholding plans on that for now.

I flow out of Osh/Appleton in 2015. We had to wait for a certain B-29 to depart... :o
