Lots of post on his Facebook page. For example about its Tempest V restoration a few days ago.

Regards

His Vega should be getting lots closer to going back together this year.

There are bunches of us that quite simply do not do Facebook, so if anyone who does feels like passing along some news from there, it will certainly have an audience here.

Just sayin'.

I don't subscribe to Facebook but all I do is google "Kermit Weeks Facebook" and it comes up. I can't reply or make comments but can read the posts from Kermit or Fantasy of Flight and see his videos. Same as WIX, you can be a "lurker." I think most museums can be accessed this way. Just like the links for A26special kay, you can read but not reply, not without subscribing or joining or whatever. My wife is on Facebook and "Friends" are always posting the latest cat video or some other
junk, but you can keep up with family, if that's a good thing sometimes. Mostly it's hitting the delete button.

One may hope so. The EAA are hoping to hold a reunion of Lockheed Vegas this summer to celebrate the type's 90th anniversary. I'm not sure if Mr Magoffin will feel inclined to return after flying his Vega to Oshkosh in 2014 and then not being given the opportunity to fly it in the showcase or in the airshow. The other currently airworthy Vega, the late Mr Desmond's Shell no. 7, is now in California, so an even longer distance to fly, and I'm not even sure if the Doolittle Center has displaying their aircraft at other venues as one of their goals. So the reunion this summer may come down to 1 aircraft, i.e. if it is ready in time.

I keep hoping to see an update on his Boeing 100 from Roy Rehm's shop. Seems as though it was already just at the edge of completion a couple years ago.

Kermit also has a Wirraway and BT-15 nearing completion it appears. Post from January 10th for this without Facebook.

We still have a bit of work to do on the Wirraway but just achieved a MAJOR MILESTONE. After almost a year and a half dealing with the FAA in Oklahoma City and the estate of the previous owner in Australia . . .

. . . we FINALLY got the Registration! OK guys, no excuse now!
