I am trying to ascertain what criteria was used in analysing bombing results during World War Two, strike photo's had two concentric circles placed over the Desired Mean Point of Impact, one showing a 1000ft circle and the other 2000ft. The bombing results were then assessed against these and the results were classified as follows, in descending order of accuracy:

Superior
Excellent
Good
Fair
Poor
Gross

My question is what distance from the DMPI would account for each classification.
